Children and juniors
For children, we recommend choosing ski boots with an insole 1 cm larger than the length of the foot. Skis should never be larger than 2 cm for safety reasons. The size of the ski boots should correspond to the date of purchase; when buying in September, you must take into account that the child's foot can grow by the end of March. Therefore, it is ideal to choose 1.5 cm. If you are shopping just before departure, you only need to buy ski boots 0.5 cm larger.
Always put on your ski boots when trying them on as if you were on a slope.
Adults
We recommend a size about 0.5 cm larger than the length of the foot for better power transfer from the boots to the skis. However, comfort is important. Everyone can have different needs. Some people like ski boots in the same size as their foot length, while others need 1 cm more. It is ideal to try the boot on and wear it for a while. It may happen that you find out on the slope that the ski boots do not suit you, so you can use our exchange program.
Always put on your ski boots when trying them on as if you were on a slope.
Types of ski boots
Recreational ski boots: Flex index (up to 80) are characterized by comfort. They have a wider skeleton of 104mm and more + a wider chimney. They are intended for recreational skiers and beginners who prefer relaxed skiing.
Sports and recreation: The flex index of these models is 80 – 100 and the frame width is 100 – 104 mm.
Sports: Flex 100 to 130 and the frame width ranges between 97 – 102 mm.
Skier´s ability
Beginner: He should rather choose softer boots that do not provide as much resistance and are more comfortable. However, a beginner skier will not use the potential of harder boots.
Flexindex men: 60 - 80
women: 50 - 70
Advanced: A skier can choose boots with a harder shell, which will provide more support during more vigorous skiing. Harder boots have better overall features from most manufacturers, such as the shapeability of the inner liner and outer shell or the adjustability of hardness and chimney angle.
Flexindex men: 80 - 100
women: 70 - 90
Sports: A skier needs a hard boot that will provide the necessary support. A harder shell will also ensure precise and fast power transfer to the ski and accelerate their reaction. For this category of boots, manufacturers supply the best inner liners that will keep your feet warm and comfortable all day long.
Flexindex men: 100 - 130
women: 90 - 110
Always put on your ski boots when trying them on as if you were on a slope. When you bend your knees as if you were skiing, the heel will fall back and create space in front of your toes.
